Inese Krievans (she/her) has taught music as a public school teacher, choir conductor, and piano instructor. 

            At the Children’s Yamaha Music School (1997-2023) Inese taught group and private piano lessons.

            Inese holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and studied Music Pedagogy at Jazepa Vitola Music Conservatory in Riga, Latvia.

            Inese Krievans is a Nationally Certified Music Teacher and is a member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA), Minneapolis Music Teachers Forum (MMTF), National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), and American College of Musicians. 

          Membership in these organizations allows her students to participate in contests, take comprehensive piano and theory exams, and participate in adjudicated festivals, recitals, and auditions. Her students have regularly been winners at MMTA Piano Competitions and been part of the MMTA and MMTF Honors Concerts. Participation in these events is elective. However, once students are successful, they enjoy sharing their music with others.
